Oh, one more thing, I remember the IO asked if I've ever worked outside of home and I said, No because I only just got my EAD card about 2 weeks ago and haven't even started looking for a job yet. He said that it's hard in Michigan (one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation).

Thank you so much, Steph! ^___^

Jim and I are so happy that we're done with this step! ^___^

I just remembered one other thing - Jim asked the IO about address changes (because with the military we pretty much have to move every 3 years) and if we have to notify the USCIS and the IO said not to worry about it until we file the I-751. ^_^

You are welcome.

I'm sure we'll see each other around anytime. :star:

I have received my 2nd card production e-mail today for the GC. I guess it means that the card has already been printed and it will be mailed to me very soon. I hope we all get our GC quickly.

Oh, btw, I have a question...

For everyone who's done with their interviews:

What did you wear?

Some of the men we saw were wearing suits!

My hubby and I were planning to wear slightly more 'formal' clothes - slacks or khakis but we just ended up wearing jeans then me with a dressy blouse and him with a long-sleeved buttondown collar shirt. I was wearing a dressy black trench coat the whole time though. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as you look presentable. I remember I wore jeans for my K-1 interview at the embassy too ^__^;;

My husband wore his off-white slacks and collared blue long sleeves polo (just understand the not-so-good description :P). I wore the same outfit I have bought for my K1 interview-- black fitting soft pants and silky gray blouse (not in long long sleeves).

I am not really an expert when describing clothing. :lol:

That is a GREAT question! We have not been to the interview yet, but I have been wondering how much we should/shouldnt dress up. I have heard that you just want to look clean and presentable, but by no means overdressed (suit and tie or etc.), I do not plan on wearing my suit thats a for sure, but I will be glad to hear what everyones response to this question is.

Well, I'll likely be filing late December, but depending on when I get my NOA, I may end up a January filer, so yes, I'll probably see you at ROC :D

Congratulations Fatima and thanks for sharing your experience. It's nice to know that you had a nice IO for your interview and that the name change issue is not really a problem. I hope we will be interviewed by the same IO and that we will have a smooth interview as yours. I am starting to put together all the documents I will be bringing during the interview. I was able to order a photobook online for our wedding pics which turn out really nice. Did they even bother to look at your pictures?
