Do you know why ap is taking for ever

file date jan 13th

touch 2/1, 3/29

why do you think they touched it on the 29th

none of these is making sense

I honestly don't think that anyone can tell you, no matter how many times you ask, as none of us have been in this situation :( Touches can be for so many reasons as well that the only ones we actually know what they are is the one when the put you into the system and the touch you get when they link your biometrics to your file. Other than that they could be working on it, moving it, or dancing around the kitchen with it for all we know  I would get in touch with USCIS though, as my AP was just approved and I filed a few weeks after you. They should be able to tell you at least if its the biometrics thats hold it up or not.

Ken, I don't think you've been listening to any of us here. I already wrote before that some applicants whose fingerprints aren't so clear in their first biometrics are even asked to have a second biometrics appointment.

Read this:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/236782-thinking-of-leavingthink-again/page__p__3628174__fromsearch__1entry3628174

You might also want to start another topic, not just write here, and tell people about your situation. Not everyone reads the January 2010 AOS Filers thread so go out and make another thread that centers on your case.

I wish you and your wife the best.

We can't solve your concerns for you. You ought to do something rather than keep fretting.

What you mean first time, it says if you are applying for advance parole you dont need biometrics

This option is not available for applications for re-entry permits. Applicants filing for re-entry permits must be physically present in the United States when they file the re-entry permit application. -quote from uscis

You Must be in the United States to apply and receive the AP travel document. If it wasnt for this,.... you could come into the US, apply, and then leave until it was approved..... what would be the point? Or am I not understanding here? When you apply for AOS you CANNOT leave the country until you have either the AP or your greencard.
