I posted here a while back about having issues with the company I had hired to help us with our paperwork, Immigration Docs, or K1K3visas.com. Someone else in this place said they had, had a bad experience with Immigration Docs to, who was that? I would like to talk with you some more if you would like to. Thanks!

That was us, we had a terrible experience with Immigration Docs and I ended up firing Cynthia McQouwen as soon as I found out about the RFE. Actually, I wanted a refund before we even started on the paper work but she said their company doesn't give refunds so I decided to go along with it, it was $500 down the drain!!! I found VisaJourney after we filed :(, but its better late than never!

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Thank you guys.

Did you call to check the status on it??

Yes i did the travel permit last was touched on 2/1/10

also the 485 was touched on last touched on 3/18/10

I have no idea why this whole thing is taking forever, I need it right away

Lawyer said the fingerprints are not the delay, cause she hasnt taken her fingerprints yet, she left before the appointment letter

I stabd to be corrected but I do believe that the bio appt must be done before they continue to process your AP or EAD

Two questions?...

1. How important is it that you have photos on your interview? We do not believe in the use of photography and so therefore there was no pictures taken at our wedding, I did not realize that this would be an issue, (once again I can thank Immigration Docs for not telling us everything, altho all of their gurantees say that they do), or I would have a family member to take some photos of us if it is really needed for the interview.

2. How do I edit my profile with this new layout? I cant find where to update our timeline. :-)

I am not a law expert nor professional in this field but I thought K1 is only valid for ONE entry. That means, she has already used this one-time entry when she came into the country to apply for AOS. Now AP, from my understanding is what you apply while your visa is pending... So I thought that leaving without waiting for approval means abandoning the petition. I can be wrong. But anyway, I think you should consult with other lawyer/professional than your current one to see what they think about the situation. Good luck

I sent off the AOS packet for my wife on 01/20/2010. Her interview date had been scheduled to be on 04/16/2010. Everything was going smoothly until just recently. Here is a little background...

I have been unemployed for the past 3 months. I just found work and had to move to a different state. I made the move a couple of weeks ago. I did the change of address by calling USCIS and mailing the AR-11 (the interview date had been scheduled before address change). After arriving to the new job I was contacted by an employer that I had spoken with sometime back and they asked me if I would like a job back in the same area I originated from. I didn't even have to think twice before deciding I would go back and take this job. For now I have not made the move back but will be doing so next week. I will have to do a change address again and haven't thought it would be a problem until I received a NOA from USCIS today stating my wife has had her interview schedule date cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. My thoughts on the situation are as follows...

1. USCIS cancelled the interview due to the first address change and will most likely reschedule to the local office in the area of the first address change or

2. Has been cancelled due to reasons that neither myself nor the USCIS customer service rep I called can answer. (There may be some explanation notice later????) or

3. No Clue???????????????????????

Anyone have any ideas on what this could mean???????

Unforeseen circumstances are just that -- maybe the office will be closed that day for some reason. Hopefully they will re-schedule for you.

In other news, my I-485 has been touched for the THIRD day in a row. I have an interview and have not been transferred to CSC, so what the heck are they doing?

Also, my AP and EAD are WAY over the VJ timeline estimate. What is the deal? Stop working on the I-485 and approve my EAD already!!!! wacko.gif

It says initial because there are times when they ask you to come back for a second interview. I don't see it happening often here in the VisaJourney section but i've seen it more often on other boards... think about the people that aren't as prepared, have more issues with their case, etc... initial being first.

Edited to add, Congrats on the IL :) You're in the home stretch!!!
