Arrrgh.. we got the dreaded I-693 RFE stating that we had an incomplete physical (when we all know that as K-1 applicants we only had to have certain sections of that form filled out). I immediately called my congressman's office and they are going to jump on it for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how willing they were to help us out! I am going to fax over all of the supporting paperwork to them today and they'll call their USCIS liaison to get it checked out. Fingers crossed!

Wow! You are just now getting an RFE for medical so long after transferring to CSC? It seems like most people get those right away. I'm hoping something similar doesn't happen to us. Our interview is only a week and a half away.

My EAD card came in the mail today!!! :D My picture (from biometrics) actually turned out really great - haha, what a surprise! My ID pictures never turn out good XD

It's been 10 days since AOS has been touched and nearly 6 weeks since EAD/AP have been touched...but we haven't reached the 60 day mark yet either.

Called USCIS and they said they are still under normal processing.

It's been 10 days since AOS has been touched and nearly 6 weeks since EAD/AP have been touched...but we haven't reached the 60 day mark yet either.

Called USCIS and they said they are still under normal processing.

At least you didn't get the IO that said that you will have an interview because you came with a K1 Visa. I know from others experience that it's not necessarily true. No wonder it's called the "misinformation" line! :wacko:

January 25, 2010 - Cory received her SSN

March 9, 2010 - Received appointment for biometrics - will be on March 18

March 18, 2010 - Biometrics done

March 19, 2010 - Touches on I-485 and I-765

March 25, 2010 - Advance Parole approved..received on April 1 in the mail

March 29, 2010 - I-485 notice date, received on April 4, 2010

May 3, 2010 - EAD approved

May 5, 2010 - Date interview....approved

My EAD and I-485 have not been touched since the day of the biometrics!

I signed a job contract today and I am lucky that the contract starts on July 1st

so I have plenty of time and hopefully the GC by then.

It is in medical field and it is a 1 year contract starting on July.It's been a long journey

and I had 2 interviews at that hospital and I finally got it today.

It is not what I was hoping for since I wanted a 3 year contract ( my position is paid training )

but is better than nothing.Anyway I had a horrible week before today ( I was rejected by 3 hospital for the 3 year program

on monday and got called back on wednesday to go for 2nd interview for 1 year ).

Sorry for the long story but I need to vent.

Now I only have to worry about the interview!

By the way do you speak Romanian?

My green card just arrived with the mail!

Also they should receive our response to the RFE (birth certificate) for my sons application today. Really hope they will approve him fast now.

Woohoo! Got the EAD in the mail today! Went straight down to the social security office and my wife's social security card should now be here in a couple weeks! Then she can finally get a state ID instead of having to use her passport everywhere. Still waiting for an interview date - hoping that it comes soon.

Congrats to everyone for the awesome progress you've made! I can't believe it's already the last half of March.

We got 3 emails about the EAD and none about the AP, and they BOTH arrived in the mail today!!!!!!!

Yes Smiley I speak Romanian too... in the job market myself too... looking intensively for work... and so far just a single interview and still waiting on the final verdict.

I was so excited when I got my EAD .. but can't really use it yet... hopefully soon enough though...

I talked to an immigration officer in Buffalo yesterday and yes it is for emergency purposes only. Cruiseship vacation which he paid 5t USD is cancelled and he will attend on my interview date which is April 19. Thank you for the advice.

We have EAD and AP in hand... but after a flurry of them.. no touches on the GC since 3/10.
