Also, when did you get the e-mail? As far as I know, the IO confirmed that my case was still at CSC. Also, she said the last thing she can see is that they got my fingerprints. She didn't say that it was on interview mode, so hopefully, I'm still ok (fingers crossed).

I sincerely doubt that the person knew what she was talking about. It seems like most cases transferred to CSC are approved without an interview, and if you did need an interview your case would have been transferred to the local office. Most likely you would already have an interview letter in hand as well.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Oh well, I guess I'll wait. At the very least, if I do get an interview, they'll probably give me a month to prepare.

So quick interview question...is it okay if the only form of ID my husband (foreign citizen) is his birth certificate and passport? We did not apply for a state ID before I-94 expired and we can't get that or DL in CA without EAD which has not arrived. Thanks for the advice! I just saw in another thread that either state ID or DL were requested at the time of the interview.

Yeah the DL or state ID is usually used to show the current address, but I have the same problem too. It should be fine if you don't have them, just explain what you did here, that they will not issue it without some other form of paperwork such as the EAD which has not been issued to you yet, and bring lots of other proof that he lives there (bills in both your names, any mail he gets etc) with you

Yikes! We don't have any bills in his name--just the rent agreement. I have some letters with both of our names and address that I was going to use as proof of relationship. Of course I have the AOS letters. We are planning to try to get the ID as soon as EAD arrives, but our interview is March 31st. Hopefully the rental agreement will be enough. They should be smart enough to realize the CA law, but still...it seems like one branch of the government does not know what the other is doing. They gave us a hard time for not having it at biometrics, but they let us in.

Arrrgh.. we got the dreaded I-693 RFE stating that we had an incomplete physical (when we all know that as K-1 applicants we only had to have certain sections of that form filled out). I immediately called my congressman's office and they are going to jump on it for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how willing they were to help us out! I am going to fax over all of the supporting paperwork to them today and they'll call their USCIS liaison to get it checked out. Fingers crossed!

Well, upon further inspection... it's just my daughter's AP that was approved (and touched again today) not mine. I called USCIS and pressed that button that says "you filed applications together and believe they may have been separated" and spoke to a really nice woman. She said that my AP is still not approved and that they can only put in an inquiry when it is a I-485 that is approved and not the other BUT she did put in an inquiry about my EAD because it is "approaching regulatory deadlines". She said they will get back to me by April 3rd but I REAAAAAAAAALLLLYYYY hope it is before that because I was offered a job this morning. I told him I could probably start in 2 weeks, and I really want that to happen!!!

Well, there goes that idea. I got an email an hour later saying my "EAD is currently being processed and should have a decision within 60 days..." blah blah blah form letter #######. I guess I should just stop obsessing and it will come.... but it's so HARD!

You still have time! I got added onto the cable/internet/phone and cellphone bills though I'm not on the lease yet. Health insurance works too if you have it and hes on it with you. Joint accounts, that kind of thing.

Well he's on my health insurance, rent lease, and bank account as well as a joint gym membership. I was going to put him on my utility bills, but they already came this month, and we won't have new ones in time for the interview. Depending on when the EAD comes, I will try to get something done at the DMV, but won't they want something with his address on it as well? I think we still have the envelope from getting his ssn which has his name and address on it. I'm not worried about showing relationship proof just having something to show he really lives there to verify his current address. He also has a joint credit card account with me, but when the bill came, it only had my name on it. He can show the card as proof though. Do you think I need to stress about getting to the DMV and getting this ID card? It doesn't require it on the interview letter, and I can show letters he has received and such. sigh always something to complicate things.

Another touch on EAD. Hopefully this time it is on its way. AP hasn't been touched since the first EAD touch, so I am wondering if it will just show up in the mail. We never got any kind of notification about it.
