Has anyone received their EAD *without* getting an email first?

I have signed up to get the emails, but I have stopped getting touches, and the online case status hasn't changed from RFE requested (even though I know they have received it and I have my interview letter).

I'm just wondering if I should be expecting an email before it is approved, or if it is possible for it to just show up in the mail without me being notified?

Anyone...?

I am not sure but I think Tina once wrote that she has received her AP without an e-mail.

As for me, the latest touch for EAD and AOS was on February 15 and January 28 for AP.

Thanks everyone!

Miranda&John, I received the AP without an e-mail notification. However, I did notice that it was touched the same day as my EAD Apparently they got approved together.

I'm now hoping that it's the same for my AOS. Hopefully the last day it gets touched is the day they mailed it out.

Actually what makes me feel better sometimes is that perhaps our applications were approved but they forgot to change the status.

That's right! :D It probably takes quite a few more button presses to update the status and with the amount of workload the adjudicators have, it's nice that they at least wand the cases into the system so the "Last Updated Date" changes ;)

I got my EAD card in the mail!!! Yay~~!!:thumbs:

Today right before I got home, I got an email update from USCIS saying that my application for I-765 was approved on March 15, 2010. I was thinking "what the heck is this?" becaus I got two emails last week saying the card production was ordered. And then I checked my mails and one of the envelops were just simply white envelope. When I opened it, I was ecstatic. I was curious about why the envelope didn't have the blue USCIS stamp on it. In any event, I have the card. Happy! Hope everyone gets the EAD card soon!

got a surprise in the mail, no notification of approval email, just the AP in the mail :)

Also received the NOA of the AOS Transfer to CA :)

Hi. I also filed my AOS and EAD on January 19 and the last update I had was on February 17, a day after doing the biometrics. Did you have any touches on your applications after the biometrics? I see a lot of people getting touches on their application and wondering why I have none. I hope I get a surprise in the mail too, soon.

I hadn't had any touches since right after Biometrics, but today I got a text message that my status had changed online and an email saying that the EAD card had been ordered. It's been almost a month since our Biometrics, so I think you should be getting yours soon too. Also a touch on AP but no status change. It seems alot of people are receiving AP without email notification. Woo-hoo! So happy to have EAD on its way!
