You should get an approval email when it is approved. Nobody can tell you exactly "when".

I understand it, its part of the process, but is the photos the last step before approval, cause that was the evidence they requested

It seems like RFEs can take maybe 2 weeks to a month. If you got a touch the day after receipt, they are probably logging the RFE received. And another touch the day after could mean that they are resuming processing. In our case, the AP online was not updated until the day of receipt of AP. We never got an email saying it was approved. It just showed up in the mailbox with the EAD. So you may not receive an email saying it was approved; it might just show up one of these days. It is probably on its way since you have provided the evidence and then seen additional touches. Good luck!

I see, I got a email yesterday saying they received my evidence and it is resuming processing and today there was a touch on it as well was a touch yesterday. I hope it comes soon, if they are asking for photos they should be approval right

Hi guys, I went to the interview today at 26 Federal Plaza in New York, New York, and want to hear what you think of it.

The interview was not too bad. Our IO asked for the original copy of of marriage certificate and our birth certificates, our wedding photos (she took two photos with our family members in them), a copy of our health insurance card, joint bank account statement, lease agreement (she made a copy of the first page), and a copy of our 2009 joint tax return. She also asked for our utility bills with both of our names, but we told her that my husband pays bills and the bills don't have both names on them. She said then she didn't need them. She asked my husband how we met, if he has met my parents, and so on. She asked me how long I have been working in the U.S., if I have met my in-laws, and if we are planning to have a baby soon. Then she went through the questions on the form.

Then she wrote down on my passport her name, my A#, and today's date, AND gave me a letter with 5 paragraphs with check boxes. My letter had the 3rd paragraph's box checked stating "your case is being held for file review in order to prepare a decision. you will be advised by mail as to a decision on your application. no additional information is necessary from you at this time, however, if upon further review, additional information or evidence is required, you will receive a notice in the mail. please respond to any requests in a timely manner. failure to do so will result in denial of your application. please allow 60 days from today's date before making an inquirty on your case."

I asked IO if I was approved. She said "you're approved with me. But my supervisor has to review it and will make a decision. you should hear from us within 30 days. But if you don't hear from us in 60 days, come back to us on the 3rd floor of this building."

Our IO was generally nice. But my husband and I were very confursed.

What do you guys think?

I think Cherryblossom has an interview tomorrow in NYC, right? You should get there about 40 min before the interview time. There was a long line at the metal detector, and it took us about 30 min to get thru that, and we waited another 40 min from the time we dropped off our interview letter until we were called by IO. Good luck! And please let us know how it went.

I don't know for sure, but she may just not have the authority to approve it. As she said, the supervisor has to review it, so maybe she is just in training or something. It sounds like you had everything you needed and it just has to go through final review. You probably will get an email or text sometime today saying that card production has been ordered. I think all of the talk about 30 days and 60 days for a decision is just standard not necessarily an indication of how long your case will take. Hopefully you get good news soon. Good luck!

Is there any way possible to find out if when mailed? I got touch on it 4/5 when the RFE was received and to continue processing and there was another touch on 4/6 but no touch today, I wonder what is going on

What is a touch ? I provided my e-mail address with I-485 and the EAD..How someone would know if your file was touched? Thanx for ur reply.

When you sign in with your account at USCIS, you can see your petitions and the last update's date, when the date change it means someone has "touched" your case.

Might not mean anything as it might be as simple as moving it to another pile.

You may or may not get an email or txt notification when they approve it and mail it. The online case status update system is not very reliable. The only way you'll know for sure is when it actually comes in the mail :( Hopefully they'll approve it soon so you can give it to your wife. Good luck, kensue!
