Ok, I've updated the spreadsheet!

I got my biometrics letter today !!! I wonder if they let people do early walk ins ...

Congrats! I've added you to the spreadsheet!

Good morning!

So I woke up this morning and found an e-mail saying that my case is now pending at CSC. That was actually quite fast. I was expecting it on Monday or Tuesday since most cases seemed to have gotten there in about 1 week. Anyway, hope people have good news, too!

Another question:

I have to go to my sister in laws bachelorette party in Michigan...We could drive or fly but I would rather fly... Is this possible with my stamp being dated 12th March? The problem is I would have to be flying about 2 weeks after this and am not sure weather to try it or drive. This kinda got sprung on me last night so there was very little planning involved.

I thought another option was that I could get my FL drivers license and fly up on that? Or is that not possible?

Hi Kayte,

They won't even look at your I-94 when you're in the States. You just need to show them your passport as your photo ID. As long as your name on the plane ticket matches the one in the passport, it's fine. I did that when I went with my hubby to San Diego this past Christmas and it was ok.

It will be much easier if you can get your FL drivers license and use that as an ID at the airport.

If you have Social Security Card, they may allow you to take the test and get the license. You need to inquire at your local DMV though, since the requirements for drivers license vary from state to state.

Have they scanned the barcodes on your appointment letter during biometrics?

Yes, the woman who facilitated taking my fingerprints did. After the whole thing, she handed me back my appointment letter and said that would serve as my receipt.

I had my biometrics yesterday but the day ended without a touch. Has anyone experienced the same? I know that online "uplates" are sometimes unreliable but then...

Oh, never mind!

When I logged in yesterday at 5 p.m. to check my case status, there were no touches. Now, the dates have already changed. Thanks, God.

Then it's just a "regular" problem with the website not updating, I guess...

EDIT: Nevermind... From your last post it seems you've got touches.

 Thanks you, Tygrys. I already arrived in the U.S. last year but my K1 status online hadn't changed.

My computer has crashed so have not been able to keep up with you all recently. Using brothers comp now. Any way, we got our I-693 RFE all taken care of and we got a case update today saying they had received the info and would continue the process now!!!

I have two questions:

1. Those of you that can see when your package has been touched, where can you see this at? I have not found where I can see this?

2. I am going to file my taxes, I am the US citizen, my wife is a Canadian. Last year, she had a job as a religious instructor here in the US, so she also has a W2 from 2009. How is the correct way to file my taxes? Her social security number she had then for the job, we are told is no longer valid, like she will get a different one now that she is applying for residence here. And her W2 of course has her maiden name on it. If I didnt explain it well enough feel free to ask more details and I will try to answer.

Moderator: If this needs to be moved to a different thread go ahead and do it, I was not sure where to post it and figured maybe someone here would be experiencing the same thing? Thanks!
