DS-156 x2, but most consolate requires this to be fill out online to generate barcode.

i have a question about DS 156 K...it says to include evidence of engagement (such as? we didnt get engagement rings, but we did get engaged...) and evidence of financial support (like what?).

Evidence of engagement can be the receipt of the ring purchased, but this is not mandatory if you can not provide it. About evidence of financial support, these are the affidavit of support you filled out, tax transcript for the past 3 yrs, tax return for the recent year, letter from your employer (this must state your job title, wages & duration of employment) and the proof from your bank that you have some tangible amount in your account (this is not really important).

It has to be the petitioner (American citizen) that is required to provide all these documents. They are (USCIS/NVC/Consulate)just trying to know if he or she can take care of the beneficiary before the beneficiary gets a job.

Every embassy requires different documents for the interview process so check with the embassy in Slovenia for the proper documents.

SpelaD ! I was dealing with the American embassy in Ljubljana in the past and I' m dealing with it now ( different visas all regarding my stay in US with my fiance ) Feel free to ask and no worries. They are extremely kind and helpful.

We got an email notification stating our petition was approved! She should be receiving it in the mail soon! We are extremely lucky, and I keep expecting this to be some sort of cruel USCIS joke, but this came wayyy ahead of our schedule. Now comes the fun task of getting all the supplementary evidence together (shouldn't be too hard, considering our petition was 107 pages.. lol)

Good luck for everyone still waiting; don't lose hope! It will come!
