I got a phone call from the embassy today, saying im getting the Packet 3 tomorrow or saturday :)

K1 JOURNEY
Sent I 129 F: Mid January 2010, they received it January 20th
Interview: June 21st...K1 VISA APPROVED
POE in MCO: July 22nd 2010

AOS JOURNEY
Sent AOS, EAD, AP: November 8th 2010
Delivered: November 10th
Check cashed, NOA1s received in text and email: November 16th
Touch: November 19th
Biometrics in Orlando: December 16th
Contacted congressman's office with inquiry to expedite AP: January 12th 2011
EAD approved: January 13th
EAD received: not sure, I was overseas, but I know it arrived between January 24th and 28th
AP approved - no update on USCIS; I was notified of approval by Congressman: January 13th

Our RFE was accepted and they're working on the case again.. goooooooooo VSC!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Emailed DS-230 to Kingston yesterday asking for mid-June interview. Recieved e-mail today from embassy stating we have a JUNE 8TH INTERVIEW...144 DAYS from NOA1 to interview... :dance::rofl::thumbs::lol::D SOOOOOOO HAPPY

Got the RFE in today! And yes, we missed A SIMPLE YES OR NO QUESTION. Whether or not I've been convicted of a crime/military cirme/etc. I don't know why I must have missed something so stupid, or that I didn't catch it when I looked over the packet a thousand times, but I'm SO GLAD it was just something dumb on my half. :) :) :) I'm sending the response today while it's still early via UPS so it will be in Vermont by MONDAY. I feel so relieved. My fiance is ecstatic, too. I'm feeling a little bashful but oh well. Is that an approval I smell on the way?

Thats the same one i miss- the milatary thing threw me i guess..... got my noa-2 today, so hopefully yours wont be far behind.

I called the Embassy today because I wanted to know why I didnt get instructions for my medical exam in the Packet 3. They told me they're still waiting for "something" (what could that be? they're making me nervous) and that i am probably gonna get the instructions next week. In Packet 3 I only got DS 230 and DS 156K.

Well that's good. Someone in the Jan K-1 thread told me it was the most commonly missed question, it is pretty easy to miss I suppose. We're getting antsy again but we hope to follow you soon. Good luck with the rest of your process!

Got NOA2 today!!! YAY! :thumbs: :thumbs:

Now we're waiting for packet 3... does anyone know how we can track where packet 3 is? how it's sent? or what address they send it to? Our current address in Beijing is pretty unreliable with getting mail (our landlord didn't give us a key to our mailbox!!) and so we're concerned about how we will get the package... I've heard some people receive it at the US address of the petition filer (which would be fine, my mom would receive the package and forward to our work's address here in Beijing). Alternatively, we could change our address to our work's address here in Beijing, but I've heard that could cause problems because it's not a residential address with our names... HELP!!
