If you have some patience left in you - wait a week. That way, when you call, you are running a higher chance of not just NVC having received a petition, but also hearing the news that NVC has sent it on its merry way to the consulate.

I appreciate your comments, but as always, don't take everything I say as the ultimate truth. Everything I have learned about this process was from the collective knowledge of other VJ members. It helps to have good and kind people around who will selflessly help others to go through this grueling process

I think that is what i am going to do, i will wait until Thursday next week before i start calling. Thanks a bunch again!

Awesome news, congrats! We filed at the VSC the same day, so fingers crossed we'll hear soon!!

Got my approval email about 40 minutes ago! :D 65 days from NOA1, which is way way faster than we were expecting, and we were afraid we'd get an RFE because we had no boarding passes or hotel receipts. Keep your heads up guys, VSC looks like they're picking up the pace something fierce this past week!

So is it some kind of April Fool's joke that no one seemed to get an NOA2 today? Harsh, VSC.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

While I understand your impatience, November and December averaged over 100 days for their NOA-2s. And while I wish it would go faster for you, there's still buffer room for your NOA2.

Also, VSC is working on January now, so any day can be your day.

You'll get it soon. I was losing hope and then ours arrived. Smack on 100 days of waiting. Lots of December people got theirs around that time frame too.

Best of luck and I really really hope January VSC thread has some good news soon.

Cheers, Cap'n. I'm impatient too, but who wouldn't be for such a big deal? I've got a good feeling about April, even though no one seems to have been approved in the past two days..? We'll see. Just gotta drink rum until the days fly by, right? ;)

I hate this soooooooo called "waiting game" I'm getting a little impatient... Just want this part to be over with & start the next stage...

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.

I only for the first time checked the USCIS for updates & tells me that our file is still in the initial review.... What are they doing at VSC? lol

You've got more willpower than me, I've limited it to only twice a day. I hope people are just terrible at filling in their timelines, I refuse to believe that only one person on VJ has been approved in the month of April so far. Granted, a LOT of filers that aren't on VJ might be very happy.

We landed ours in 71-days, and were really surprised. Being the cynic that I am, I fully expected at least another month or more to pass. The funny thing is that the very day after I gave up checking the USCIS web portal we received the NOA2 email notification!

Clearly the trigger is to have your will completely broken by this bureaucratic monster. Once it senses your vacant heart, it takes pity upon you and releases your petition from it's jaded claws.

We should devise a new standard on VJ by which we visually measure our progress in tears of despair. Web developer, please take note.
