please can anyone tell me what is the easiest way to apply for a job ? online ? by stuffing agency ?? orr ? for an immigrant

The easiest is probably just using a job website like careerbuilder or monster. But that isn't always the most effective. In this economy I would recommend attacking it from all angles. My husband would walk into places around where we live as well as online. We considered going to a staffing agency but he was very lucky and had two job offers very quickly.

Consider the language level and comfort level with the area.

Go to a temporary employment agency. Quickest way to get a job. Temporary jobs can lead to permanent jobs.

i did that last week , n they asked me to return tomorrw for another interview ..

i was wondering if i can go to other agencies ..

you can go to as many staffing agencies as you want, unless the first one made you sign some 'exclusitivity' agreement (which is not so common, these days).

Yes, go to as many as you can. Also, once they have interviewed you and processed your paperwork, call them on a daily basis to see if they have work available. It shows you are really interested to work and can put you ahead of other job seekers. Also, some agencies, like Remedy, have computer programs that you can train on to get more skills. The key to getting a job is being diligent and persistent.

what I did was enrolled my husband in ESL classes... thereby he met some people who wanted to play soccer, then he started playing soccer much more then met some men who knew other people.. long story short he got a job at a nice place with good benefits alhamdolilah by someone he met playing soccer.

So I suggest even if you're trying to find a job the best way is by personal referral, what better way for him to get out and get busy then classes and meeting other immergrants.

PS this took quite a few months so be ready but the classes started in weeks. he will need to stay busy or he will get sad I promise you that.

oh yes im getting so bored staying home .... need to go out and meet people ..hubby works everyday no even a day off (hate that )

still home no jobs yet :-( i applied everywhere , no one called me exept company whos hiring saler or some positions with costumers which i cant have because my enlish is not that good !!

Iv been looking for work since january in my state and nothing till this day. I have my resume on monster, I have signed with an agency and also have my resume with a few other job sites and nothing! Been hanging out resumes like they are candy and nothing. Seems like my state is in a job slump. I agree with you its pretty boring being at home alone while husband is working all the time.
