Hi all,

We just sent our paperwork to VSC, but I have a quick question. Am I allowed to go with her to the Embassy in Kiev when she has her interview? Do I actually get to sit beside her when she is interviewed or do I have to sit in the hallway or outside or something?

I know we just filed (don't even have NOA1 yet) but it never hurts to be hopeful and looking ahead!!!!

Thanks,

Steve and Alyona

In Kiev you are allowed to go with your fiancée into the section where the interviews take place. Some members here from Ukraine were allowed to attend the interview, I wasn't. The CO actually asked me to step away from the window and he talked only with my wife. There's a waiting room adjacent to the interview room and you can in fact hear everything that is being said.

Joe.

Joe,

Thanks for the quick reply! Does anyone else have experiences with Kiev?

Take a peek at previous interview experiences here:

I hope this helps! :)

Hang in there... Every day is one step closer!

My responses are derived from personal experiences and from the knowledge I have gained from others over time. I do my best but on occasion I could be wrong. Be warned! I am not a lawyer, I am an Engineer!

Yes. Unless there is some problem or something they want to discuss privately with your fiancee, they will let you walk right up to the interview window in Kiev. Even if they tell you to sit down, you will be about 10 ft. away, maximum. It is "semi-private" at best. I just walked right up to the window when they called Alla. But we had no questions asked.
