Hi There,

I was wondering how much evidence I need to provide to show that we have personally met within the last two years. I have lots of pictures of us together on some vacations we took, but they are not dated. Do I need to write in the dates on these pictures. I also have flight itineraries showing that I travelled to and from France within the last two years.

I would appreciate any feedback about what others have sent in as proof, and what has worked for you.

Also, what are we required to say in our "original statements? Are these statements supposed to show our intent to marry each other? Is there anything else we can provide to show our intent?

Do our "original statements" need to be signed? Is it OK if I mail in a photocopy of her original statement, so that she doesn't have to mail it to me from France?

I know there are lots of questions here, but I just want to make sure to get it right.

Best Regards,

CM178

Besides the pictures and the itineraries, you could show some receipts - credit card, hotels - if any, and the stamps on your passport showing when you entered France. We've only sent them a few pictures, the e-tickets and a copy of my fiance's passport with the visa obtained to come and see me.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I agree with Mew as for the evidence of relationship, my finace and I both signed an Affidavit of Meeting, and a Letter of Intent to Marry and had these notarized. - that was just our choice.

As Mew said some photos, flight ticket stubs, copies of passport stamps, hotel receipts (if any) etc.

All that is required to show intent to marry is one letter from each of you stating you are legally able to marry and have intent to do so within 90 days of arrival in the US.
