1. The new Mass Media book I'm using to teach from this year used the word "doofus" in the chapter on advertising. That makes me happy.

2. My son just asked me what "Selective Service" is when I asked him if he registered. Really? Honor student. Double major in college. Smart kid. Doesn't know what that is?

3. Even though I have to make another test, finish re-reading this chapter, read 20 more pages of Shoeless Joe for my other class tomorrow and make a quiz for that...I really just want to go take a bubble bath and finish my book called The Art of Racing in the Rain.

you should get a little corner TV stand thingy for underneath it. It should hold everything and look nice.

I love both of them! But I have this weird thing about books. I have C&H and Peanuts and Far Side for times when I can't get immersed in a book but need a diversion. Then I have books I can only read on airplanes. I'm reading the second to last of a series now, but these books are LONG. So I save them for either my vacations, plane rides, or when I'm sick. Then I have shorter books I can read any time.

Yeah, I'm a freak.
