i do see sachinky's point. it has nothing to do with what is going on in haiti. her point is valid. take it from someone who has been in the waiting game a long time.

2006 IMBRA law, anyone?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I understand Sachinsky's point, that is no issue, but there were a number of people in there with negative viewpoints. And they needed to be spanked. :D :D

I understand where she's coming from, and trust me, I'm the last person to tell someone to calm down and relax and wait. (I'm one of the biggest crybabies there is, you guys all know that!) However, I just think from a humanitarian perspective, complaining about how helping the Haitian people is 'holding' up their visa process is selfish and uncalled for, especially like K says... when the complaining is being done by people who haven't even been waiting that long!

My friend's whole family is in Haiti and she has no idea where some of them are (grandmother, grandfather aunts, uncles etc.) She's here legally, but could you imagine if she wasn't? Having to get shipped back to a country where your home is totally destroyed, being left to roam the streets with no food or water and complete and utter chaos?

I just don't think the two types of suffering can be compared, but that's just me. That's why I told them to stop pitying themselves, get off their toosh and pray for these poor people in Haiti that are suffering, and the Haitian people here in the US who have lost their families, friends and homes.

yeah, i have nothing to say for the selfishness. but i remember in 2008 when we first applied, it seemed like every thing was going against us causing a greater delay. i think things bother me more when it is out of my hands. just like this lovely AP we are in. it is out of my hands, and it is killing me inside. i often go into a secret depression.
