I wanted to mention I got my snapper from an old breeder who had too many dogs and was not taking good care ( if you call that care ) of mine . Don't know why mine was never sold as pet quality, he does have papers but that was part of the adoption, that the man keep snappers papers as there was no money exchanged. I took his problem off his hands and he is lucky I did not turn him into animal cruelty. I can tell you he comes from all German lines, and mom and dad ( imports) were on the premisis.

I would report the breeder to the German Breeder's Association. They take such things pretty seriously and he might never be able to buy one in Europe.

Another thing about GSD's.....they are not for everyone because they are highly intelligent and you better be on top of them or they will run you.

He's about 70 something, lives out in the country and is basically a hermit....my neighbour's lady friend knows him from the show circuit and this is how I got the hook up. My neighbour and I are keeping our eyes open through her friend. We have not seen him actually abusing the dogs, but it sorta shows that mine was, especially the starvation. He does have a good reputation with his breeding stock and people do go out there to do business with him. We just need ACTUAL proof, like maybe pictures.

Luis calls his mommy every day and if he forgets I make him call This is because I'm a mommy and know how hard it would be if one of my boys moved far away.

you can't just make an anonymous report to animal protection? I would because it's better to have them investigate and find no problem than to leave it like that and those poor doggies suffer.
