although occasionally she leaves work early without telling my sister and just 'shows up' at the house which is interesting when it happens. A couple of times I've had to go upstairs at 11 or 12 to see if they were both still alive. :blink:

How old is she, Susita? Sounds like it is time for your Mom to try a little tough love. My sister (single mother) had to kick 2 of her 3 sons out when they were in gr. 12 (separate incidents, of course) because they had a choice - live by her rules, or fend for themselves. They were back within a couple of months, and are awesome, responsible husbands and fathers now.

she's 16... and there's no use giving my mom any advice she just ignores me. So this is my way of dealing with it.... I avoid her. It's not like I really have to share a house with her anyway, I have the downstairs apartment which has a separate entrance & driveway.
