They don't have the ballz to tell the lobbyists to get lost. Hell, most of the lobbyists are ex-politicians or staff. LBJ considered it but then backed out, Nixon was planning on universal healthcare but then Watergate came up. Clinton panicked. Every single president considers some form of universal healthcare, which is what Medicare is, to a certain extent, but they chicken out. Even the last president thought about it but then 9/11 came up, etc. Obama dropped the ball.

Argh. It angers me! :angry:

People don't. Lobbyists buy the seats by sending money to campaigns for candidates that will vote their way. Lobbyists also buy politicians outright and run smear campaigns.

omggggggggggggg my sister is so annoying. I bought her books for the 2 classes she's taking this semester and she was supposed to pay me back because no one will pay for her school anymore since she's quit so many times. my mom just called and told me she dropped one of her two classes and went to take the brand new book back without the receipt just so she could have the money for herself and not have to pay me back. that book was $170! errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! annoying!!!!!!!!!!

my sister's an azzhole too. I just pretend she doesn't exist. My mom is okay with this.

hey I do that too! it's much easier now since she moved in with her bf.

what annoys me is she was going to take it back without the receipt and not even get the full purchase price, but a buyback price because she wanted the money. no wonder they won't let her access her trust fund. idiot!
