Hi everyone. Made it to Chicago in one piece and am waiting for the next train to go to DC.

Mal, once you're in Orlando and we're heading North we could meet up for coffee, how does that sound? Stay strong, you can do that!

Chris, :dancing: , for you. I bet she feels the same. I remember that the trip took forever ( it was just 10 hrs + the immigration part which was actually quick in Miami, I was the only one with a proper visa, all the other people in the office got sent home)

I'm on my best way to get drunk tonight, I'm on Bacardi #2 and making strawberry shortcake. Hubby might get activated this weekend because of Haiti, oh joy.

If you make it to Orlando, you're on!

I want to get that Wii Fit game for after I have the baby so I can work on getting into shape. I heard it's fun

Get the Fit and EA Active. The Fit is good for a basic workout, EA Active for a more intense, overall workout.

finger sandwiches are for tea parties not brunch

I'm not big on finger sandwiches, although once I had these little mini paninis that were really good & cute.

My uncle's wife had her babyshower and her mom tried to organize the food for the event. Well, needless to say all they were going to serve was finger sandwiches and salad. Her family's all hoity toity and fancy and totally not like her daughter, husband, or anyone in this family. I say, the woman's pregnant!!! Feed her! :lol:

Needless to say, the night before the shower when my uncle figured out what was going on, he went out to the grocery store at 11pm and made sausage & peppers, meatballs, baked ziti, chicken parm, garlic bread and ordered a 6' hero from the deli the next morning :dance::thumbs: Her mom didn't eat any of my uncle's food in protest, but everybody else pigged out. :star:

Sounds like a big party!

Normally when friends ask me to do food for their baby shower or bridal shower it's coffee, tea, mimosas, salad, finger sandwiches, tea cookies, chocolates, etc. We're a big bunch of hoity toity arses. Actually...not so much...it's more like everyone knows I will make the food for free so they might as well do hoity toity since they wouldn't be able to afford it without me :lol:
