I think it's funny how they're saying all these places are without power. Most of the time Haiti is without power because the government is in control of the power. They are only required for it to turn on for so many hours a day or something. I don't remember the specifics. They would usually turn it on at night when less people would use it. Lots of people have generators because of this.

Just got to finish cleaning this place before my sister gets here, but I only have the kitchen and bathroom to do, so that won't take too long. Gonna spend some time surfing to see what is going on this weekend, to show them around Houston.

good morning all yesterday, my boss told me i will soon be taking over all of india claims in my department. and again, i reiterated that they could send me to india until my husband gets here. the other lady i was assisting is in a wheelchair the majority of the time and is unable to travel. now she is going to start doing other responsibilities on our team, and soon i will be the only one covering.

yeah, it would be awesome but so far due to budget cuts they haven't sent me to india since 2007. which is how i met that man i married. at that time they had sent so many of us at one time, it was a lot of fun now i hear about 1 or 2 people going a year. darn modern technology. i can do most of my training and correspondence via messenger, email, and telephone. no reason to physically be in the building anymore
