LoL Amby, when you talk about "family vacation", I think back to the last time I took one with my family, I think I was 15. I have declined each and every one since then. I love my family, but seriously doubt I could take any extended period of time locked in a condo/hotel/cabin with them again

well we all stay at the same place but I just ignore them most of the time I think we're renting a house

my mom is taking all her employees on a 3 day cruise in 2 months for the 10yr anniversary of their practice. I'm going on that one too. not sure if there will be a big enough escape on a cruise that short.

I'm super worried about my friend. She runs an orphanage in Haiti. No one can get ahold of anyone at the orphanage but they do know the market (I've been there, it was big!) down the street completely collapsed. People mainly use cell phones there because everything is prepaid, even landlines. Soooo...I'm just hoping the system is completely clogged with people trying to contact other people, and they're all ok.

I would imagine that the phone lines are clogged with a barrage of incoming phonecalls. Think positively, and give it some time, don't let the paranoia creep in.

the good news is if anyone is injured there's doctors and a medical clinic in the orphanage compound
