Some Questions about Change of Address

I and my wife are moving at the end of the month to an apartment nearby. I am the USC. Her case is still pending due to an RFE for the I-485. She has not received her Green Card and likely won't prior to moving. I am aware of the online change of address form and the need for me to to fill out an I-865 but I have a few remaining questions.

On the online form it asks

Is this change of address for a U.S. Citizen?

* Yes, this change of address is for a US Citizen

* No, this change of address is not for a US Citizen

Do I need to first click change of address for US citizen and complete the form. Then in a separate step click Not a US Citizen and complete the form again? How do I assure I have changed addresses for myself and my wife, can it all be done in one step?

If I need to click the choice Not for a US citizen for my wife what do I enter for the final field which asks.

If not a Permanent Resident, my stay in the US expires on (month/day/year)

Because right now her case is pending and I don't know when her stay in the US expires.

I've been through this same situation while I was waiting on my GC. We moved to another town and we changed our address online.

I called USCIS to make sure and was advised to fill out one separate form to each one of us.

One for my husband (the petitioner, one for me, and one for my son).

Even with that being done, my son's GC got lost in the mail, probly for being sent to the old address while mine was sent to the new one.

We tried everything to locate it with no success.

We had to send in an I-90 application for replacement for a lost green card and had to pay all the fees again, even for the biometrics.

I guess we just were not lucky.

We wish you both all the best!!

I filled out AR-11 online between NOA1 and NOA2. NOA2 still went to the old address so I think that form is worthless. Also when filing DS-230 with NVC I used my new address, but the green card still went to the old address. Seems like they go by the I-130/I-485 address no matter what you do.

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
