Hello and I thank you in advance for taking the time to consider my situation and questions.

My wife has been granted a Conditional Greencard which expires on May 15th 2010. We need to submit form I-751 to remove the conditions.

We will submit it around the 2nd week of February and have just started accumulating our evidence to be submitted with the I-751.

So far we have compiled the following:

2008 tax return. (If we can get our 2009 taxes prepared we will include them also)

Lease renewal agreements

Credit card account statements for each month since the conditional greencard was granted (May 15, 2008)

Phone, Cable, and Electricity statements for month since Jan. 2009 (Cannot access prior statements)

Investment accounts (2) Yearly statements

Checking account statement

Beneficiary form from my wife's employment stating that I am the beneficiary.

Beneficiary form from my wife's newly acquired Roth IRA account stating that I am the beneficiary.

Vehicle title showing joint ownership from car purchased after conditional greencard was approved.

Auto Insurance Declarations for last 2 years showing both names covered

Copies of plane tickets, flight details, Vacation passes such as Universal Orlando

Pictures associated with vacations, friends, and family

Questions:

(1) Do we need to submit the same documents which were already submitted with the initial Adjustment of Status forms?

For example: Prior tax returns, beneficiary form from my employment, life insurance, initial lease agreement, etc.?

(2) In regards to the credit card account, phone, cable, and electricity statements: Is submitting a statement for each month too much

or should I only submit periodic statements such as every 3 or 4 months?

(3) In regards to the (2) sworn affidavits: We plan on asking my mother and a friend to provide the affidavits but I'm not sure how they should be prepared. Is the affidavit basically written statements contesting as to why my mother and friend believe we're in a legitimate marriage?

If so, can the affidavit just be notorized by a Notary or is there suppose to be another person present besides the declarant and notary who gives an oath to the declarant in front of the Notary? I'm very confused about this and hope someone can clarify.

Any replies are appreciated. Specific suggestions for additional recommended items of evidence and

information regarding the sworn affidavit questions would be extremely helpful.

Thank you.

Bottomline! MORE AMMO THE BETTER!

Have the people get the affidavits notarized.

Yeah Lots of people will say you don't need them. All's I can say is we subnitted them, and all the stuff from AOS also especially life insurance , and were approved without a interview.

Thank you for the reply. Did the person writing the affidavit just get it notarized or did they have to swear an oath to someone else

and then get it notorized?

Thanks for a response.

Thank you Dakine, I appreciate your replies.

So the only people required for the sworn affidavit are the person who writes the affidavit and the Notary Public correct?

Should the affidavits be handwritten or typed? (Microsoft Word)

Thanks again.

Mikellen,

If it's not inconvenient to get affidavits notarized and signed feel free to send them in. As time got close and I gathered the necessary evidence, my impatience to send it in within the 90 day window won out. I skipped on it. I read (and firmly believe) that the affidavits are for "last resorts". I looked at all the evidence I had and felt it was enough. Apparently it was since we were approved recently (yay!). I have also read the sticky and it seems that an unofficial conversation with a reviewing officer revealed that affidavits were considered weakest on the list.

If it makes you feel better, then go ahead and send them in. I didn't want to be bothered to typing out and then getting family and friends to get it notarized.

Good luck and Happy New Year!
