So, I just found out that the UK fiance's passport has to be valid for 8 months after the visa issuance date? My fiance's interview is in a few days and his passport expires in April. He was planning on moving before April and was going to renew his passport not long after the first of the year. Will this screw us up? He did find he can get a passport in one day but it's going to cost him 130 pounds. Obviously if that's what he needs to do he'll do it. No matter how much I search and read up on this stuff, I always find that I've not done enough and it really upsets me.

Also, our NOA2 expiration date was Dec. 26, 2009, but he sent off the embassy paperwork mid-November. His interview is Jan. 7th. Will he need to get a letter of intent notarized? I've not been able to get a clear answer on this. I'm really stressing now, so thank you in advance to anyone who can shed some light on these things for us.

Don't know about the first part but I believe (re: NOA2) you need to provide him with a notarized letter of intent stating that you still intend to marry him within six months of his arrival. That's how I interpreted the information on the checkilist.

Ours expires in Jan and I don't have my interview yet so Ricky (USC) is going to get that done for me.

I'm very sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong!

Right, we got that the USC has to send in a notarized letter. The question is more, does the BRITISH citizen need to do the same as well?

He can reschedule the interview, use the extra time to get a new passport. He'll need to call or email the IV unit in London. Good Luck !

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
