British husband has Greencard, but what do we need to do before visiting UK??

We are so excited that we now have Thom's greencard, and social security card! Visajourney was indispensable in completing all of the paperwork on our own. My question now is this:

When we visit the UK, is there some kind of form or steps we need to take to ensure they know we aren't immigrating, merely visiting?

My American passport has a UK denied entry stamp, and TWO denied visas to visit( the first my fault for failing to provide any evidence for my case, and the second totally weird). I'm hoping when I get my new passport with my married name it will be fresh and new. There is no legal reason we can't visit the UK, I just want to have all our ducks in a row.

Thank you!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

For him, no nothing since he has his GC. For you, you may have problems entering. Just like ppl visiting the US, I'd bring all the evidence you have of returning to the US and hope you don't get unlucky. But nothing legal needs to be done.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought once you're denied entry once on the VWP you can't use the VWP again?

They are reffering to UK immigration and a denied entry visa on the US Passport in the UK.

With a new passport and a name change entering the UK you may be playing with fire. Was you fingerprinted? Please remember how strict US Immigration was for us all entering the US.

I would do the honest thing on entering the UK. Be honest show all your evidence just like what all of us have had to do to enter the US.

Good luck I hope it works out for you.

Well it's not like she's lying or anything.

I mean, it's a pretty much golden rule for the border just to not offer more information than asked and I wouldn't go straight up to the border guard and say, "I've been denied a visit before and I'm trying to come visit now."

If they ask, she tells 'em. If they don't...then they don't.

Bringing all the appropriate evidence is what the OP should be doing anyway. Maybe her hubby can go with her in the foreigners line and they can go up together.
