It's so good to see such happy, positive postings from everyone and I'm glad everyone had a safe New Year's Eve. Is it me or is the sun a little brighter today? I know it's all in my head and yesterday was just as good a day as today with the same 24 hours in it, but there's something about waking up to a brand new year that makes me smile and feel hopeful. Last year was a difficult one but it was a good one too. Maybe I'm smiling because as I look back I can see how far we came this year and that's a good thing. 2009 will always be special since it is the year Omar and I married and I just look so forward to 2010 with new adventures, new perspectives, and new priorities.

Some things haven't changed though...back to football and the bowl games. LOL! :)

My husband & I celebrated our 3 yr anniversary last night! :dance: Had a wonderful evening, then, while trying to rest today & watch a bowl game, I kept getting texts & phone calls asking if I knew the shopping center where my dance studio is was on fire!! :blink::unsure: It was a huge fire and is, in fact, still burning now (~10 hours). Abt 14 fire & emergency rescue vehicles were there and smoke & flames were billowing out of the building. I don't know the extent of our damage yet, but it's not looking good. If it's not toast, there's at least major smoke & water damage. Won't know til tomorrow or later what we're looking at for damage. I hope this is the door closing so that a brighter & better door will be opening for us. :star: Definitely quite a start to the new year! B)
