Well, just to share my little story... I'm a bit excited now. On December 12th we had gotten the case complete. That falls before the 15th so I was anxious and excited for a January interview to finally reunite with my wife. Well I called on like the 21st, and he said I have no January appointment, and they will not guarentee a Febuary either. I was pretty let down at this point, and he said call back after the first of the year. So I went home on vacation, came home on the 28th, checked my mail and called nvc, nothing. Then not 20 minutes after talking to my wife who is worried she would never get to come, an appointment letter comes in my email. WOOOHOOO. However, not so woohoo when I read the date of Febuary 18th! So there is good in the bad at the same time. However, I had been in touch with the embassy in Panama. They always told me to contact them when the packet is in route to them, and we will see what can happen. Well, got my email from them today! They said send her in for her medical order....and RESCHEDULE for an earlier date. I couldn't be happier at this point. I am in the military and we are constantly deploying, this is what I explained to them, and time is always never enough. So monday she will go in for the doctors order papers, and get a new appointment. Im hoping(crossing fingers) for mid january. We have already missed last valentines for Iraq, I don't want to miss one more for a slow US Government. Hope all is well for everyone else, and maybe we can all celebrate this new year with good news!
