hi everybody i have a question regarding my husband visa . I have submitted my husband paper in augest 12 2009 and in damascus syria at the us embassy we have been married for 2 years and we have a baby too. he had his interview on the 10th of december and the cousolar asked him to give further information regarding (proof of my domicle and last year tax + passport) so i send it to him and he send it via dhl and the next day they called him and they said everything is recieved and he will be contacted after the adminstrative processing is done . it been more almost 20 days since that call and his case is still pending ! i contacted the embassy and the us officer at the visa department . ""Thank you for your message. According to our records, Mr. A completed the submission of his documents and provided all requested information. However, his application was tentatively approved for issuance pending the result of administrative processing. We will contact him when processing is complete. Unfortunately we are unable to estimate when it will be done. While we cannot predict how long it will take to complete this administrative processing, please rest assured that we will contact him as soon as this process is complete.

We hope this is helpful. "

i dont know what to do my sister in law got the visa the same day and my sister husband got the visa via dhl after 3 days so please any suggestion that can help !

Please do not toture yourself by comparing the cases. No two cases are the same. AP is pretty typical in MENA countries.

You can call DOS and find out if your AP Is washington background checks or if it's the embassy doing additional work. They will be able to let you know.

Unfortunately there is no set time for AP. There is no way to know exactlyhoe long it will take. Hopefully your AP is short.

Good luck.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........
