My husband Othmane got approved for his green card today in Boston and they said it will be in the mail soon. It was fairly smooth...just alot of waiting. Our appointment was for 10:30 this morning and didnt see our interviewer until about 12:30. Our interviewer was kind..looked at all our documents that shows residency and such. We had our health insurance, dental insurance, and affidavid of residency from my folks, as well as a credit card, and bank book. He glanced at our photos and asked us what we like to do for fun and if we share friends here. It was really easy. He said we were approved and explained the next step that we have to take in 2 years. It was generally painless. I was worried because we dont have an apt of our own yet because we are trying to save money, etc...and right away the interveiwer said, "oh your stayign with your parents, thats a good way to save money for a down payment, I wish I did that when I was your age". He was nice.

so thats all.

we are psyched.

Hi. I was wondering if they stamped the passport at the interview as well, so that you would be okay to travel right away? My husband and I have our interview the 4th of june and would like to leave a week later for an intl vacation. Any thoughts?
