Hi Guys,

My husband just had his medical examination 2 weeks ago in Vancouver for his K-1 visa, and obviously he passed it because we are now married and applying for his AOS. In regards to the I-693, the directions state that as long as the overseas medical was performed within the last year, that he is exempt from performing another medical but that he must still show proof that he completed the vaccination requirements (straight off the uscis website).

Firstly, is the "proof" referring to the DS 3025?

Secondly AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, does this mean that we don't need to have a civil surgeon sign off on the I-693, because every doc I called wanted to re-perform the examination and charge us full price, which is asinine because the directions clearly state he doesn't have to have another exam! If this is not the case and don't have to have a doc sign off for us, do we even include the I-693, or do we just send in our "proof" of his immunizations?

This is a HUGE help because I can't get answers anywhere else and we really don't want to get yet another medical exam and pay yet another fee if we don't have to. Thanks so much you guys!

Historically the DS-3025 was sufficient... recent RFE activity indicates it may no longer be...
