I just miss the Cebuano-Visayan language. I have been teaching my husband every now and then to speak it but he mixes up the words.

Naay mga Sugbuanon duol o ania sa Santa Monica, CA?

Asa man mo dapita sa California?

We're in OC and have several friends in the LA area who also speak Bisaya. If you'd to join our Filipino network :P, send me a PM and I'll give you my wife's contact info. :)

Did you know there are a couple of really great Filipino communities fairly close to you? I always take Claudeth to either the one in Cerritos off South Street or up to West Covina off Amar and Azusa Avenue. Claudeth said that they are mostly tagalog but she does find Cebuano-Visayan being spoken also. She loves the Goldilocks and I love the Jollibee :P

Claudeth just loves Goldilocks, I have to take her there at least two times a month. There is also a Goldilocks in Hollywood but it is in a tiny stip mall with not much parking. I was buying her rice in the grocery store and that was a big mistake. I think it was $5 for a pound or two. I can get 50 pounds of Jasmine rice at Seafood City for about $30 and Claudeth sure can eat a lot of rice :P

I don't know if Goldilocks is open on New Years Day but Claudeth wants to go find out.

We will probably go up there just so she can get her bi-monthly fix. It normally woudl be my flex day which is every other Friday. She always gets the Sinigang and I always get the spring rolls with a nice cup of coffee. She gets something else with a sunny side egg but don't remember what it is.

I actually like Red Ribbon more than Goldilocks. :star:

FAE :luv:

They now have a Red Ribbon in the Sea Food store by Jollibee and there is one over close to Goldilocks. I can't remember but I think Claudeth got something to eat there once. She likes going there for the bread but always orders bread at Goldilocks too.

I don't recall if I've ever eaten sisig. Pardon my ignorance; I've been in America for 36 years and new Filipino delicacies have apparently appeared without me knowing what they really are.
