We are feeling very good about the interview. We have been very organized and prepared throughout this whole process. There is just one thing that is making me so worried. When ouadia bought me my engagement ring, he bought the wedding band to go with it, which I figure is normal. But, we took a picture at his aunt's house, with me with both rings on, and he already wears a band since he likes to wear one because he isn't single. So there is a picture of us showing our rings on. I feel this is going to cause a huge problem. We can only explain the truth, which is what he is gonna do of course, but will this hurt our chances no matter what? Just wanted some advice. Thank you in advance.

I don't think it will matter. If asked just say they are rings...just rings

Don't take the picture with the rings, and have him take off the ring for the interview. As long as you aren't married and trying to do a fiance visa then why add any stress?

I guess that's the problem, that photo was sent with the original package. After being so careful, I can't believe we made such a stupid mistake. I was feeling so good about this interview, but today, I am thinking the worst. Also, I have been reading alot from the pinned section for returned petitions on this forum. I have a question that I did not see answered, or may have missed. Is it possible if we get denied, to let the petition expire, and get married instead? I am afraid of making a wrong decision.

Thank you and I AM SO GLAD TO SEE YOUR RECENT APPROVAL!! I have been quiet on VJ, but have been keeping up with you guys. That was the one that was making me sick lol. But I guess other red flags are that we got engaged on my only trip out there, but we have reasons why I could not return for a second trip. We do feel very confident because this is a real relationship, and we are ready to endure what we need to.

As long as he is prepared to answer any questions about it I don't think you should have an issue. But I would still have him leave his ring home that day. No reason to wear it one day if it is going to cause you stress.

When I was preparing my package I put both rings on to take a picture of the set, not thinking of any potential ramifications. It was never questioned. I did tell my then fiance to not wear his ring to the interview nor on the flight here until he was well beyond customs, just to be sure, since in our culture a man with a ring would be viewed as married (more than likely). I wouldn't sweat what is already done. But like M4E said, tell your fiance not to wear it to the interivew, and be prepared to explain it was put on for pictures only, if asked. I think alot if not most of the couples get married on the first and often only trip. Who can afford to go multiple times? Some even get married on the first trip and still get approved. Good luck. I still remember being at that stage of the game.

I dont understand taking the rings off... isn't it common for men in Morocco to wear engagement rings as well? Bijad does.

LOL Thanks to everyone, but I am onto freaking out about the next "problem", which isn't really a problem, it's just me spazzing before the interview. CALM DOWN AND BREATH!!!!!!!!!
