not that i am aware of but yesterday, the little snowfall we had made the roads hazardous for me on my way to work and during my lunch hour. It was a complete mess. By the time i was coming home from work, the roads were cleaned up. I think we are suppose to get more snow this week ( not amounting to any significant accumulation) just enough to make the commute rough though. I hate winter!

Whew! I haven't even shoveled yet. Was supposed to go out and run errands yesterday but opted not to once I peeked out the window. They are good here with the salt trucks....another reason why I stayed in. That stuff literally eats your car.

Maybe you two Michiganos got what us Ohioans sent up North, eh? I can drive in the snow but the ice freaks me out. Rigth now our roads are clear we had a little bit of flurries last night but not a lot of ice but the temps are cold out there and I am hoping it will not set in.

I'm at work but have to go to my best friend's grandfather's memorial service today. I can't stand these things. I'm too emotional. I think I would cry at a stranger's funeral. Then I have to come back to work today.

My husband has shoveled twice so far, didn't really need to, IMO as long as your foot is not covered in the snow, then no need to shovel...lol

Do you guys hear a lot of that eh in Michigan? I remember going to Lake Erie and hearing it from quite a few people and have also heard it from quite a few Canadians. My father says it all of the time so it has been instilled in my brain and he is definately not from the north but somehow has adapted it and dug it in our brains.

My husband did the same thing the other night. He has no idea how to drive in the ice and snow. Last year around this time he had traveled back home for quite a few weeks so he missed the worst part of the weather that we get. A friend suggested that I take him to an empty parking lot when the weather is bad and let him mess around in it to see what it feels like to slip and slide and try and work your way out of it. This even scares me. When he told me what he did the other night fish tailing I started to have a panic attack thinking this isn't even that bad out what's it going to be like when it really is bad?

I don't know about the rest of the folk in MI, but personally I grew up watching the CBC and Im just a shot away from the Ambassador Bridge. I can't remember a time when I didn't say 'Eh'.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday to everyone. We were to have some rain today, but looks

like only partly cloudy now. Was hoping for some snow in the mountains.

Not much going on today. Anyone going out for New Year's? Think we will stay off

the roads and celebrate at home. Safer that way!
