I (Jen, USC) am currently visiting my fiance (G, Venezuela). We are planning on filing in January. I would like to know if there is anything we should make sure we do before I leave and we're apart again. I'm guessing the forms that both need our signatures would make things easier if we did them now while we're together.

Anything else you can think of?

Thanks for your help.

Go online and fill out/print out the G-325A Biography forms and sign them. Make up a brief intent to marry within 90 days of his arrival form, print out and sign. No notarization needed. Take them with you and submit with the I-129F packet, and that puts you ahead of the game! Congratz, he is a great guy and real latin lover! :star:

G's signed statement of intent to marry

G's US passport style photos (4) One for the petition, 3 for the interview

G's signed G-325A's

Also, be sure that you have multiple certified/official copies of G's birth certificate. Not immediately, but don't wait until the last moment. You will need one for the interview and others as the process goes on and later on in the US.

Here is the list (from the embassy website) of what G will need to bring to the interview>>> http://venezuela.usembassy.gov/?c=471

Thanks for your help.

1. have him sign 2-3 BLANK G-325a forms, just in case any mistakes are made

2. Sign DUPLICATE letters of intent

3. Make sure you keep records of your visit, photos etc.

The good thing aboout having several original signed documents is that if somethig gets lost you can always whip out a new packet with the necessary signatures and it costs you nothing but a couple pieces of paper and a few seconds time.
