New Year's Resolutions

I'm actually going to expand on what I do for Lent every year. During Lent I do something unexpected and without the expectation of acknowledgment, for someone every day. So during Lent I do 40 acts of kindness that I don't often stop to think of during the year. Nothing huge, maybe dropping a letter to someone I've not been in touch with for years, or leaving a $5 starbucks card for a co-worker I know is having a rough time, etc. Rather than giving up something I think this is a better and more Christian way to spend my time.

My NY Resolution is to do some random act of kindness every week in 2010. Though I suspect sometimes that may entail not yelling at a student, child, or spouse

Every year for about 5 years now I resolve to lose weight, but it never happens.

So I just won't even put that thought into my head this year. Haha.

I'd like to finish the book I've been 'writing' for 6 years now, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen.

I tend to stay away from New Year's resolutions. I did want to quit smoking after many years and was successful starting June 1, 2004. That might have been the best thing health wise that I have ever done

I hear there's an "app" for that
