hows this for challenge :D i never got an email to say my petition was approved. i checked all day june 24 on the uscis website but it didnt say i was approved that day. i checked the website again first thing in the morning the next day, low and behold, my status was approved supposedly on the 24th. and still no emails up to this day... hmmm kinda weird...

I forgot to mention that My K-1 was sent to NSC originally. it was transfered to CSC June 1, 2006.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I have a suspicion that the emails are sent in batch jobs....

I have been noticing people's comments about updates for awhile, and I am almost positive that they are using batch processing. It explains why we get strange dates and why we get email in the middle of the night sometimes.

Glad to see that some of the NSC transferees are starting to get their due... What has happened in the last three days? No approvals since the 25th? I finally received notice today that CSC received my RFE response (even though I know from USPS that they got it July 20th). I fear I have a long wait ahead...

Why should it take over a week simply to realize you have something in hand?!!

Why should it take over a week simply to realize you have something in hand?!!

It seems as if CSC takes anywhere from 5 - 25 days to simply process a receipt notice. With all the internal changes changes, delays due to the IMBRA compliance, and the volume of petitions they file, we maybe lucky their as fast as they are... so to speak. Remeber this is a government agency, efficiency is the last thing they care about. Grrrrrrrr!

Are they trying to not have a backlog at NVC by staggering the approvals? That would not make sense. Are they trying to give NVC extra time to process?

Andreia and Chris - I am suspecting they are trying to cut the US Embassy's a break. I believe it was "vartan" who noticed that the country locations of the approved petitions are staggered. Review the VJ timelines and check it out. Only a few countries have two or more petitions approved, which is very interesting and probably the only logical thing they have done. Although there is still not a pattern to the madness, at least there's some logic. Now if they could get the good feeling going again and push through more petitions, we'd all sleep a little easier. At least until we begin to thing about the visa interview. AHHHHHH!!!!

I agree that this would maybe make much more sense if we focus on the official USCIS RFE receipt date instead of the dates we know the RFE's arrived or were mailed there...

Uling, I know it is probably unimportant, but out of curiousity, can we add the country of the fiancee? If there is any validity to the staggering, it may show up there. More importantly, by seeing 20 apps ahead of me, to notice only one or two is from the country that I applied for would make me feel better. I wouldn't necessarily feel that it is THAT many people I will have to wait behind for an interview! (I know, we all go through NVC but that supposedly isnt that bad). haha. Just a thought.

6/01/06 - Redirected to CSC

6/14/06 - CSC e-mailed confirmation on the reciept of file

6/23/06 - They they sent the IMBRA RFE

7/03/06 - The emailed that the IMBRA RFE went out on 6/23/06

7/03/06 - I received IMBRA RFE

7/05/06 - Touched

7/06/06 - Delivery Confirmation from the Post Office RFE recieved
