@ Ladies: where to buy winter formal attire in small sizes?

We have two weddings coming up and I need dresses to wear for such occasions!!!! I checked out all local stores. They start at either size 4 or 6, but I need a 2. So they always send me to the junior department where all dresses are made from cheap fabric, are so short you can see the tush, show so much cleavage that a porn star would be jealous and have hideous colors. In short, those dresses are frankly hooker attire...

Do you know a good place that carries all sizes and has more conservative formal wear? I can drive down to Denver for shopping, but need to know where to go, like which stores might carry what I want. I also might consider online ordering, but sizing is always a gamble there!

Dillards and Macys do not carry my size around here...

Thanks for your advice!!!!

Thanks :) I'm willing to spend a good amount of money on rather less flashy dresses that can be worn for a couple of years ;) I'm small, but not petite though :)

Wife is kind of small, she has no problems, but either shops at the Mall of America in Bloomington, or the Fox Mall at Appleton, WI, also good stores at Eau Clair and Wausau. But if she shops at Wal-Mart, she will have a problem.

We also have three shops in town that specialize in wedding attire with a seamstress on duty that knows how to sew and they are very reasonable.

That looks good. Maybe I should go to a bridal store and look at the bridesmaid's dresses?

If you are flat-chested you might have a winner..... if not, forget about it.

My wife could easily were those size dresses but the chest area is non existent. Most Bridal places have a seamstress on hand, ask if it can be let-out.
