Hello - My husband's NVC case K3 visa was approved for a medical expedite and was sent from the NVC to the Embassy in London. The NVC advised that London would now handle the processing of the application and scheduling the interview (we have sent everything in and paid all of the fees.) London received the file on december 22nd - does anyone have any idea as to how long it will take him to get an interview scheduled? I would think fairly quickly with the medical expedite approved, but it is impossible to get in touch with anyone over there. Also, we have an attorney so we have already submitted all original documents like birth/marriage certs, tax docs, police reports, etc. as well as the ds-230 & 864 forms...are these the forms that people refer to as packet 3? Should the next step be the interview? Thank you for any input you can provide...Jen

The problem with 'expedites' is they are only good for each separate phase of the process. You had an expedite for the the approval of the petition and that has been accomplished.

If you now want an expedite for the interview phase, you must contact the London consulate. I'm sorry that I don't know what steps you would take to achieve the expedite - I only know you have to begin again.

Well we got one expedite from the USCIS to the NVC, we now have a second expedite that was approved by the consulate in London, therefore the NVC forwarded our documents from the NVC to London on Dec. 22....I believe that is the expedite for the interview unless there is yet another one we need to get...just not sure how long it will be until the interview is scheduled even with the expedite...was hoping someone had a similar situation to share...thanks for the reply! :)
