Eat organic meat. It's healthier (no hormones or antibiotics) and less prone to diseases than animals from factory farms.

Organic food is too damn expensive. I'd rather chew on my own leg.

Organic is not that much more expensive nowadays, but if you prefer anthropophagy, enjoy!

Ok, I'm intrigued. Why?

Because of its connections to "savagery." A cannibal can never be civilized and if a "savage" people are particularly fierce and dangerous, they are always assumed to be cannibals just on the basis of the threat they are posing.

Btw, Columbus invented the word cannibal in 1492 because of a misunderstanding. He didn't really speak the language of the inhabitants of Cuba who were gesturing to the next island and indicating their animosity with the islanders. Based on his perception, they were telling him that the people on the next island ate humans and that they were called cannibals.

If I was to worry about what is and isn't good for me, I'd starve to death. Instead, I just accepted the fact that I will die of something some day. Until then, I intent to enjoy the things I like. 60 years of fun beats 80 years of restrictions any day in my book.

Right on. I agree 110%. And when they come up with studies that say drinking wine / alcohol is good for the heart I jump for joy. Of course, in moderations. Not my jumping, but the drinking. Eh whatever.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
