HI there, you need to inform your insurance company of your move. They need to decide whether they will insure you or not. My insurance company, (Wawanesa) covers my car, I've been here since September and they are covering me till 7th of January or longer if I need it. Now I have my Wisconsin license, car registration and lisc. done so I can now get insurance here. They weren't going to cover it at first, and then after a couple calls they agreed to. But not before doubling my premium. Good luck.

My Canadian insurer covered me until I changed over to my American insurer. We are with GEICO so they just took my Ontario driver's license number and my Canadian car and plate information and told me to let them know when I'd changed everything over. Then I cancelled the Canadian coverage.

Me same as Krikit. MA requires MA insurance before I can register the car (kind of like, the insurer has to fill out some part of the paperwork), so check in your state about what you have to do first.
