DCF DUAL CITIZENSHIP?

I really should've posted this with my other new topic earlier, but I've only just thought of this!

I am eligible for Dual Citizenship currently in the UK. I am an american citizen, and I would like to have dual citizenship in case we decide to move back to the UK in future (ie, to care for DH's parents or whatnot).

We are planning on sending in the I-130 petition in January, but I have read that it takes 3-6 months to get citizenship in the UK. I can send certified copies of my passport with my I-130, but the original would have to be sent for my Citizenship application.

My main question regards whether or not this would be frowned upon? Could I be refused Citizenship if I don't plan on living in the UK currently, but have future plans to come back?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

If anyone happens to know if there are any restrictions that would be placed on DH upon entering the USA?

Say, we arrive in O'Hare airport, and a month or two later, we want to go back to the UK and settle our accounts, finish packing up and bringing things over, would there be any restrictions on him leaving the USA? Certain time lengths etc?

When I received my Spouse visa for the UK, I wasn't allowed to spend more than 90 days a year outside the UK for two years...anything like that?

I am not sure about your UK citizenship question; I know in Ireland they don't care about you living abroad. Indeed, there is no interview so they wouldn't know you have plans to move. Your passport (as USC) shouldn't be needed at any stage, just photocopies, so applying for UK citizenship should be ok.

Your husband will be given a stamp in his passport when he enters the USA which serves as a temporary greencard until his physical green card arrives in the post (which can take up to three months- see my timeline!). This allows him to travel. There are no hard and fast rules as long as you don;t stay out of the USA for longer than 1 year,but anything more than 6 months in a year can cause a border officer to deny you (as your husband is supposed to be resident in the USA, ie spend more time in than out of the country).
