My husband likes an excuse to party :) so we'll probably go downtown with friends to drink it up and party, or to a friend's house for a NYE party.

Either one is fine with me - though I think I'd prefer a friend's house.

Last year we went to Times Square to watch the ball drop so this year we'll spend a lot less money. Last year was fun because it was just the two of us together in the middle of millions of people.

We have to be down town at 7 am to catch a ferry to Victoria, so I imagine we'll be asleep early. We won't spend anything on New Year's Eve. We've already paid for our weekend in Victoria though.

Nothing special here. We'll stay awake until midnight - maybe watch on tv for the various celebrations, and then kiss at midnight to welcome in the New Year. Last year we welcomed in the New Year online in a chatroom together with some friends from across the country :). It was interesting as we got to welcome in the New Year several times as it passed the various time zones. We may do that again as well.

I did that on Dec 31, 1999 / Jan 1, 2000.

----

I'm tired of doing stuff (and spending $), so I'd like to just relax. However, my husband likes to party more, so we'll probably find somewhere to go.
