Hello Mohammed. Sherif and I are just starting the process. He is in Cairo, and I am in the states. Do you think you could please be able to help us through this process? We are trying to do this without a lawyer. I am going to Egypt for the first time in May. Do I need to file anything before I go and what do I need to file when I am there? Do you think a K-1 visa is faster than a spousal visa? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah sure i would like to help you and help anyone who needs my help .

Its so good to hear that you are going to file for the visa by your self .In fact there is no need to hire a lawyer '' Save that kinda money for the wedding and for the honeymoon '' LOL .

Well yeah there are some forms that the beneficiaries should singed and dated them like :

The letter of intent to marry

G325A filled out by the beneficiaries singed and dated

One passport -Type of the beneficiaries '' write the full name of the foreign fiance on the back ''

Copy of the divorce certificate for the beneficiaries '' If he was married before ''

Proof of legal name change if the beneficiaries is using a name other than that shown on documents.

Well usually K1 is pretty fast than a spousal visa .but when it comes to USA embassy forget that word '' Fast '' cause you will not hear it or feel it when you will deal with USA embassy in Cairo LOL.
