LITTLE ROCK (AP) — Arkansas police are looking for two men who shot and killed a Salvation Army major in front of his three young children on Christmas Eve outside the organization's community center in North Little Rock.

Pulaski County Coroner Garland Camper says two men accosted Philip Wise and his children — ages, 4, 6 and 8 — about 4 p.m. Thursday. He says one man pulled a gun, demanded money and then shot Wise.

Wise's wife, Cindy, also a major in the Salvation Army, was inside the center and called 911.

North Little Rock Police Sgt. Terry Kuykendall calls the shooting a tragedy for the community. Wise had worked in the neighborhood for three years, helping run youth programs, a food pantry and church services.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

A guy tries to help his fellow man and is murdered in front of his kids for Christmas. Stuff like this reminds me why I support the death penalty.

I cant agree with you anymore then what you said.

and why wait 10 plus years on death row and charge the tax payers for their room and board and shelter.. Just take them out after being convicted and shot them on the spot. Simple..
