Hello everyone! I just sent in my fiance's 129f on 01/02/2010. My fiance is pregnant with our first baby and she is due in late april. Is there any chance we might finish with the processing before she is due, and if she goes in for interview while 9months pregnant, is there any disadvantage for that?

Timeline-

Got introduced to Oladoyin --- 09-20=2007

Went to Nigeria to meet --- 12-23-2007

Went to Nigeria for the 2nd time --- 12-07-2008

Proposed to her --- 01-03-2009

Our Traditional Introduction (i couldn't go)- 04-21-09

Visit her in Nigeria & she got pregnant-- 07-06-2009

Sent I129F --- 01-02-2010

VSC received I129f--- 01-05-2010

Web NOA 1- 01-06-2010

Visit her in Nigeria --- 01-12-2010

Had a baby boy --- 03-09-2010

NOA 2 ---- 03/31/2010

NOA 2 hardcopy ---- 04-05-2010

NVC received --- 04-09-2010

-NVC Sent --- 04-09-2010

Embassy received --- 04/12/2010

Packet 4 received --- 04/19/2010

MEdical & Police report --- 05/11/2010

Interview --- 08/06/2010 (Approved)

Visa pick up date --- 08/13/2010 (Visa not ready)

2nd visa pick up date --- 08/17/2010 (Not ready yet)

3rd visa pick up date--- 08 /20/2010 (told to go back to consulate office)

4th Visa pick up date ----- 08/24/2010

Visa in hand---08/24/2010 (Praise da Lord!)

POE --- 09/02/2010 (Boston, MA) The journey is long, but successful!

AOS Processing

AOS mailed ---- 11/24/2010

NOA1s through email/text message --- 12/15/2010

Check cashed --- 12/16/2010

NOA paper ---- 12-18-2010

Biometric apt letter received -- 12-24-2010

Biometric apt -- 01/14/2011

EAD approved -- 02/10/2011

EAD sent -- 02/14/2011

EAD received --- 02/18/2011

AOS approved (with no interview) ---- 02/23/2011

This would be better asked in its own thread or in one for January filers, instead of in this person's Congratulations thread.

The chance is slim that you'll have a visa by then. Perhaps your I-129F will be approved, but there are many other steps after that before US Entry. Check the current timelines for both I-129Fs and for your country's embassy for best estimate... but even those can't be used to 100% predict your timeline.

November 24, 2011 - Baby due!
