BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) — Bloomington's Miller Park Zoo has raised $20,884 this holiday season selling necklaces and ornaments made from reindeer droppings.

The zoo had such success last year selling Christmas ornaments made of the reindeer droppings that they started making jewelry this year. The droppings are dime-sized, dehydrated, sterilized and spray-painted with glitter. They're called "Magical Reindeer Gems."

The Miller Park Zoological Society says this year they made about 300 necklaces and more than 2,000 ornaments. Society spokeswoman Susie Ohley says the money will go to help the city-owned zoo.

The last ornaments were sold Sunday, but Ohley says the items will be available in the zoo gift shop again next year.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Really not the best choice to pull a sleigh, a very light animal only good for short burst of speeds. And not the most intelligent animal in the world, idiots are attracted to car head lamps and like to jump in front of those. That guy that wrote, Twas the night before Christmas should have done more research.

Apparently, I have not given up hope, wife asked me to build a fire in our fireplace last night, said, I cannot do that, still a ray of hope. But that was shattered again this morning when my hung up stocking was empty this morning. Maybe next year.

Just still having problems that my parents and our society wasn't quite honest to me when I was slammed on this earth. Makes me wonder what else they were lying about.
