For their Express address it means you can mail via UPS, USPS, and such

We sent my wife's N-400 via USPS express , but we were not satisfied with that. We sent her papers on 12/04. Could not track online , because USCIS had the mail forwarded to another address, and we are still unable to track. Fortunately, USCIS sent her a NOA , which made us know that her papers were delivered.

Hi All.

Any advantages in filing using Express over Lock box? Does Express meaning USPS only or can FedEx be used as well?

N-400

Thank you very much. Would you recommend going via Lockbox? if we use lockbox, it appears the only option is USPS, correct?

Lock box is anything with the USPS.

Express is a street address that is required for UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. Those companies cannot deliver to PO Boxes.

Our smoothest fastest transaction with the USCIS has been with the N-400 and maybe that was because we sent in the application via first class mail, the others were over night with signed receipts. What the heck, anything you receive from them is via first class mail. Always enclosed a personal check for the fees, that is a very good receipt for your application. Made me wonder if you do send in an application FedEx with a return receipt, they toss it in a pile someplace.

I sent mine USPS to the lock box. I think the delay before was because the box was in Lewisville Texas, and they were forwarding it to Dallas.

I Used USPS flat rate with confirmation, it cost me about $7 and was able to track it.

Good luck

Hi Andy JPA,

In the past, I sent my N-400 application via USPS to the Lewisville, Texas (now Dallas, Texas) Lockbox

It was the cheapest (only $5.50, for 95+ pages, with delivery confirmation that I can track online) and quickest way to go (it only took 3-4 days)....

from New York State to Texas....

I didn't send it with signature confirmation, as I figured that would delay things in having them find someone to sign for it...

So the best bet: Lockbox...USPS...With Delivery Confirmation...$5.50...

Hope this helps. Good luck with the rest of your journey too.
