Got my SS Benefit Amount yesterday. No increase. The reason states:

By law, Social Security benefits increase automatically to keep pace with inflation. When there is a period of no inflation, the law does not permit an increase in benefits. Based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the Department of Labour, there was no rise in the cost of living during the past year, so your benefit will remain the same in 2010. The CPI is the federal government's official measure used to calculate cost-of-living increases.

That's getting old and the public has plenty of reasons by upset with Obama and his crew. He's been a disaster and all we get is the "shut up and give him what he wants because he won the election". It's his party battling him on some issues so that line of reasoning isn't valid. Almost a year into office and he finally notices the unemployment situation is a bigger problem than healthcare that most oppose and global warming legislation that's meaningless other major countries pollute all they want.

Is it any surprise he cant fulfill a more complicated promise of -Putting people in jobs.
