I have an F-1 visa, and applied via the form I-765 for an Employment Authorization Card. My residence is in Boston, so my application was sent to the Vermont Service Center. After almost 90 days, I have not yet obtained it. Therefore, I want to ask for an Interim Card as soon as the 90 days have passed (which will be in a week from now). However, I am currently living (for the summer) in Washington DC (because the job I am supposed to do for the summer is located here). I want to obtain an appointment with the Washington DC office via INFOPASS (on-line) but I get an instant message saying that there are no appointments available at this time (?).

Two questions:

1. Can I ask for an Interim Card at an office different to the one I sent my original application?

2. If so, how can I do to obtain in advance an appointment with that office?

Regards,

Jorge
